Balranald Shire Council Private Domestic Water Providers – Survey

20/10/2020

CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTIVE PRIVATE DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLIES ON RURAL & REMOTE PROPERTIES
Council is undertaking a survey of water adequacy and quality for the Increasing Resilience to Climate Change Project funded by the NSW Government. The information you provide will guide this very important community project.

The survey will:
help to ensure that everyone can have adequate and safe household water supplies
• give us a better appreciate the water supply problems being confronted by residents in the Shire living on rural properties or using rainwater tanks
• identify any possible health risks that may be present due to the quality of the water that is being used

The link to the survey below – or printable survey available by clicking here. Please return the completed survey to Council offices or email council@balranald.nsw.gov.au https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DGDQWVB

Council is inviting people on rural and remote properties in the Shire who are dependent on private sources of water (farm dams or creeks or rivers, ground water from deep or shallow bores, and rainwater tanks) for their household use to participate.

People in the townships of Balranald and Euston who have domestic rainwater tanks (used for drinking, cooking, showers, bathing and children’s play) are also encouraged to participate in the survey.

We would like to have your completed survey by Friday the 20 November 2020.

Please encourage others to complete the survey.
