To celebrate Mental Health Month 2022, Sydney Local Health District is running a Photography Competition. The competition is open to all mental health carers, consumers, inpatients and anybody with a lived experience of mental illness residing in the state of NSW and Sydney Local Health District staff, commencing on 1st September 2022.
The theme for this year’s Photography Competition is ‘Building Resilience’. A selection of the best photographs will be displayed in the foyer of the Professor Marie Bashir Centre from Monday, 10th October 2022 till Sunday, 30th October 2022. The best photographs with the text and anonymised photographers name (e.g. John D., Jane D.) may be published on relevant official social media platform (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) after Monday, 10th October 2022 in accordance with the Sydney Local Health District guidelines and policies.
An awards ceremony will take place on Friday, 28th October 2022, 12:00pm – 2:00pm at the Professor Marie Bashir Centre.
The below prizes are up for grabs along with achievement certificates.
- First Prize: $300
- Second Prize: $200
- Third Prize: $100
- SLHD Staff Award: $100
- Technical Award: $100
There will also be honourable mentions along with certificates for the works of merit too. Only Sydney Local Health District staff will be eligible to compete for the SLHD Staff Award. The Technical Award will be open for all participants.
All registrants will receive a personalised digital participant certificate too.
