Balranald Swimming Pool –

At its August meeting the Council decided that for the coming summer season the Balranald Swimming Pool will have free entry for casual users and will operate for fixed hours. This is a change from the previous arrangement where opening hours were variable depending on the weather. Council feels that having fixed hours will be of greater benefit to the community, who will be able to plan their day out at the Pool in full confidence. The Pool will therefore be open six days per week (closed on Mondays except public holidays).

Council is interested in gaining the views of the community as to the opening hours for this season. Suggestions are:

Option 1

Tuesday to Friday 3pm to 8pm

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 11am to 8pm

Option 2

Tuesday to Friday 2.30pm to 6.30pm

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 11am to 6.30pm

Option 3

Tuesday to Friday 2.30pm to 8pm

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 1pm to 7.30pm

In cases of extreme hot weather, consideration would be given on a case by case basis to extend the evening hours
