We are thrilled to announce the NSW-Victorian Borders will reopen at 12.01am on Monday 23 November 2020. The current restrictions on movement across the NSW-Vicotiran border will stay in pace until 23 November
The PHO has now been remade and gazzetted – included the changes for the Murray River Exemption brought in early in the week; allows for Boarding school students to travel by land and includes new localities in the border region map with the changes being on the Victorian side.
An amended Public Health Order which addresses the issues for people transiting through Victoria from South Australia via the Sturt Highway and entering NSW via the Chaffey Bridge, and passengers from the Spirit of Tasmania transiting through Victoria to NSW, are in the process of being gazetted and will take effect from 16 October.

Border Map for NSW/Victorian Borders
Memorandum of Understanding “MOU” between NSW & Victorian Governments – You are most likely aware that the Offices of the NSW and Victorian Cross-Border Commissioners have been leading the work to negotiate and finalise a broad, whole of government Memorandum of Understanding to address issues which impact on people who live, work and operate businesses in our border communities, and who face day-to-day inconsistencies between respective state government services, policies and laws.
